Recently, I ordered a traffic noise assessment in only one room in my house.I received the following quote: for site inspection, they work on the hourly rate basis of $180 + GST and it is estimated a total of 4 hours, a total of $720,00 + GST.We booked the inspection time a few days later.The consultant also gave me their accountant contact details to discuss my payment options.The issues started from this point.I sent her (accountant) an email to enquire about the mentioned above, but didn’t receive any response regarding this matter (1st). After the site inspection, she only sent me an invoice and nothing else was advised on my initial enquiry.Later, I received an email from the consultant that he would be on leave but his supervisor would do this job, which was ok for me.Unfortunately, I received another email just 10 minutes before the agreed inspection time from his supervisor that he almost forgot about it asking for the inspection reschedule (2nd). This was unacceptable as I took a day off to do this job. He agreed to come in 30 minutes, but he was still 10 minutes late (3rd).Before he started the inspection, I asked him, if it really going to be for 4 hours as they quoted? He answered that they (Acoustic Consultants) not charging per hour like lawyers, but I still have to pay a quoted full price $720,00 + GST. In reality, he was on site for no more than 25 minutes (4th).He took with him a case with sound assessment equipment but it was not used at all (5th). The supervisor consultant explained to me that it would be enough for him a visual inspection as he in this business for 15 years.As it was mentioned before, I received the 1st email from the accountant with the invoice to be paid by 18th November, Thursday and the assessment report would be sent by the end of the same week (so no later than 19th November, Friday). I paid it on 18th November and sent a payment confirmation receipt to them. Unfortunately, nobody responded to me with a report (6th).I sent a reminder to the consultant on 22nd November, Monday, he responded with apologies and promised to prepare the report by the end of the same day. As usual, it was not done again, so no surprise at all (7th). A few days later I finally received the report with another apology.I was dealing with hundreds of different Australian companies but this experience was definitely not the best one.Taking into the account stated above (7 different points), I found their way of doing business very unprofessional and will not recommend this company.
